The Digital SAT is the fully digital version of the SAT, administered on a laptop or tablet via the College Board's Bluebook app. It is shorter (2 hours 14 minutes vs ~3 hours), section-adaptive, and allows a built-in calculator for the entire Math section.
The Digital SAT is 2 hours and 14 minutes — significantly shorter than the previous paper-based SAT. It has two sections: Reading & Writing (64 minutes) and Math (70 minutes), each split into two adaptive modules.
The Digital SAT uses section-level adaptive testing. Your performance in Module 1 determines the difficulty of Module 2 — if you do well, you'll get harder questions in Module 2, with higher score potential.
No. The SAT has no negative marking for incorrect answers. Educated guessing is always recommended — never leave a question blank.
Yes. Calculators are allowed for the entire Math section. The Bluebook testing app includes a built-in Desmos graphing calculator, which most students find more than sufficient.
No. The SAT Essay was discontinued and is not part of the Digital SAT.
